This skatepark wall mural was designed and painted with the Newnham Youth Club.
We started off painting a yellow-orange base mash. But overlooking residents claimed it was too bright. They were all over 60, so it felt like a clash of the generations. Luckily a brilliant local councillor came to the rescue, she sat us all down had us all say our peice and then brokered a deal whereby we repainted the same mural design but with a green base. It was the most excellent example of local democracy I have experienced.
